Power of Self-Education (POSE) Inc.

Power of Self-Education (POSE) Inc. is a faith-based, multipurpose 501(c)3 nonprofit. The work of POSE started in 2010 and incorporated in April 2014. Our faith is rooted in Christian beliefs and molded from the life and example of Jesus Christ. 

POSE Inc. is the birthing vision Dennis and Katrina Everett (Founders). Years before it’s actual incorporation Dennis and Katrina began doing the work of POSE (2010) mainly through helping their local church members, friends and family members navigate systems (schools, court, DCF, etc.) and difficult situation. Until it seemed to be undeniable that community engagement was the purpose and direction God had for their lives. 

POSE is all about purpose and passion: “We are passionate about being the hands and feet of Jesus. We are passionate about the power of positivity, and in setting a strong standard. We are passionate about being a bridge to help connect resources to needs. We are passionate about building relationships not just networks, and that LOVE is the most powerful tool we as humans have available to us. We are passionate about leading by example, and value feedback and suggestions as we are constantly seeking to put forward our personal best. We passionately seek to stir up one's sense of power, uplift, and unify the community and the body of Christ, through training, workshops, committees, advocacy, and various educational avenues” (4/26/2014). This foundational purpose is why we exist and the passion that fuels our vision.
